In our second project, we will briefly discuss why the Taj Mahal was built and where it is located. We will continue to identify shapes to aid us in drawing. The students will begin with the horizon line and then add squares, rectangles, ovals, etc. When finished they will have a symmetric image of the Taj Mahal.
The project will be outlined with permanent marker and colored with wax crayons. Finally the students will apply a paint wash over the entire drawing. The paint will not adhere to the wax crayons and this serves to introduce the students to the resist technique.
