Chinese Dragons

Grade 2 students are learning to identify shapes in an object before trying to draw it. In the case of the dragon, we first drew rectangles for the snout and jaw, then we added a semicircle for the head and finally, triangles for spikes and teeth. We erased and altered for curves, etc. and succeeded in drawing a rather fierce looking dragon!
